Zamzow Manufacturing, family owned, was established in 1918, by Hermann F. Zamzow, serving the Trucking, Farming, Military industries with quality Canvas and Vinyl Tarpaulins and related hardware. In 1955 Ellis R. Schmidt became president of Zamzow and he is still active in the business today. Today, along with Zamzow's dedicated staff, the tradition continues with the third generation. Roger Schmidt, Gary Schmidt, and Mark Schmidt who head up the operations in St. Louis and Kansas City. The Kansas City operation was opened in 1990 and is managed by Bob Blanton. Our manufacturing operations now serve the Trucking, Farm, Industrial, Military and Residential markets. We manufacture Swimming Pool Covers, Gymnasium and Field Covers (Football, Baseball, etc.), a variety of Bags and Storage Bags, Contract Sewing operation (the customer supplies materials and patterns, and we do the sewing), and Replacement Tarps. We offer complete Sales, Service, and Installation, an extensive Inventory, Welding and Repair Service.
