Westwood Junior High School is a part of the Richardson Independent School District, which operates several elementary and junior and senior high schools. Westwood Junior High School serves more than 600 students in grades seven and eight. Its academic curriculum includes various subjects, such as math, science, social studies and language arts. The school supports a variety of extracurricular programs in art, band, orchestra, choir, technology applications and physical education. In addition, Westwood Junior High School conducts foreign language programs in French, Spanish and Latin and offers the English as a Second language program.
