Incorporated in 1967, Westside Community Services offers a range of behavioral health and human services solutions. It is one of the oldest community-based mental health agencies in the United States. The center provides a range of counseling, case management, education and medication services to children, youth and adults in San Francisco. It treats individuals who are marginalized due to poverty, substance abuse, HIV, mental illnesses and homelessness. Westside Community Services administers advocacy, outreach, prevention, therapeutic intervention, care coordination, medication monitoring, health screening and crisis assessment programs. Its CalKIDS program provides mental health consultation services to children up to the age of five.
