John M Soderberg, MD MPH is originally from Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. He earned his B. S. from the University of Michigan and his Master of Public Health from Boston University. After working for the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, he entered medical school and received his MD from Yale University School of Medicine in 2004. He completed his internship while still in Connecticut, where he earned recognition as the “intern of the year.” He subsequently moved to North Carolina to complete his dermatology residency at Duke University. Dr. Soderberg has worked in Chapel Hill since 2008. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. His passion is to be able to provide complete dermatologic care to his patients. He enjoys medical/surgical dermatology and has extensive experience in cosmetic dermatology; including lasers, fillers, Botox and Dysport. He is looking forward to bringing these skills to the patients of Family Dermatology. He and his wife Kelly are the proud parents of 3 children. They all love to travel and spend time on the North Carolina coast
