Dr. Scott Shapiro graduated from Harvard Medical School’s Massachusetts General Hospital Residency Program. In addition, he completed his Medical Internship at Harvard Medical School’s Mount Auburn Hospital.


After completing his training, he worked for eight years as the Director of Psychiatry at St. Vincents Catholic Medical Center’s Infectious Disease Center. He believes that all people deserve quality mental health care and is the Founder and Director of the non-profit organization, MilestonesNYC, matching pro bono mental health providers to New Yorkers in need.


One of the unique aspects of Dr. Shapiro is that he is an expert in psychopharmacology, medical psychiatry, and cognitive behavioral therapy; thus, providing people with a comprehensive and thorough assessment and an individualized treatment plan that maximizes the individual’s strengths and talents. He uses the latest evidenced-based treatments in psychopharmacology and cognitive behavioral therapy.
