A board certified Internal Medicine Specialist with over 20 years in practice, Dr. Sam Diasti was inspired by an uncle who was a physician, to pursue his dream of medicine. Dr. Diasti studied at Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt and completed his residency through Seton Hall University, St. Michaels Center in Newark, New Jersey. Soft-spoken, with a welcoming smile, Dr. Diasti takes time to listen and truly learn about his patients needs. He is proud of his stellar reputation in the Tampa community and is recognized for his compassionate and consistent quality of care. He enjoys internal medicine; he is able to diagnose and assist in treating different aspects and levels of a variety of diseases. From young adults to senior citizens, Dr. Diasti is gratified to take that journey with his patients, providing them with preventative care, supporting them in dealing with their illnesses and diseases, whenever necessary. His patients know they are not alone in their battle. He said he choose his career to have the opportunity to make people feel better and put their minds at ease. His experience and gut instinct have saved lives. A well-rounded physician, licensed in Florida, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, before joining Pinnacle Health Group, Dr. Diasti worked for Center for Occupational Health in New Jersey, Physicians Associates of Florida, and had a private practice in Southampton, Pennsylvania. He has received numerous awards including Memorial Hospitals Physician of the Year 2016 and Tampa Bay Magazine runner-up for Best Physician 2016. When not caring for his patients, Dr. Diasti is a "family guy" who loves spending time with his wife and four children. He also volunteers with the Tampa Women's Clud and has servied as a runway model for their fashion show fundraising efforts.
