Ripley's Aquarium is a more than 75,000-square-foot aquarium located in Myrtle Beach, S.C. Its 750,000 gallon tank, Dangerous Reef has 10-feet sharks. Its features include Ray Bay with a variety of rays from multiple viewing levels and Friendship Flats where visitors touch Atlantic rays, Southern rays, cow-nose rays, spotted eagle rays and bonnet-head sharks. Its Rainbow Rock offers view of thousands of colored Pacific fishes from Hawaii, Australia and the Indian Ocean. Its freshwater Rio Amazon showcases piranha and other exotic species of Amazon rain forest. Its living gallery has a collection of delicate undersea life, such as pacific giant octopus, sea anemones, living corals and jellies. Its schooling fish tank is a 10-foot cylindrical exhibit with different species of fish native in the coastal waters. Its Sea-For-Yourself Discovery Center is an interactive, multimedia playground and educational resource center where visitors can hold horseshoe crabs. It also offer dive shows and marine education classes hourly.
