Dr. Rhonda Kavee received her Bachelor of Arts degree from The Johns Hopkins University. She then earned her doctorate from the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Dental Medicine in 1990. Her Pediatric Dental residency training was performed at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center. Dr. Kavee is board certified and has had further training with a fellowship in hospital pediatric dentistry, and she has also received several masters’ degrees in addition to her doctorate. While Dr. Kavee has been practicing dentistry for more than 20 years, she continues to attend continuing education courses and seminars on an annual basis to stay up to date with the latest developments in the dental field.


Dr. Kavee is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Dental Association and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. She has achieved fellowship status in the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. In the past, Dr. Kavee has been very involved with hospital dentistry and served as the program director of one fellowship and two residency training programs. She presently resides in New York City with her husband and two children.


Dr. Kavee’s practice in pediatric dentistry incorporates her beliefs that all children and families are unique. There is never just one way to treat a problem, and the family must be comfortable with both the process and outcome of the treatment. Prevention should be the emphasis on all treatment, and this is a partnership between the practice and the family. When treatment is needed, the patient needs to feel comfortable so that they will not be afraid to return and good habits can be fostered. Parents should understand what and why we are prescribing a specific treatment and that all treatment is comprehensive.
