Established in 1967, Ravenwood Elementary School is an educational institution that is a part of North Kansas City Schools, which has a total enrollment of approximately 17,000 students in over 25 schools. The school offers educational classes to nearly 375 students in kindergarten through grade five. Ravenwood Elementary School employs a staff of more than 55 full-time certified teachers and paraprofessionals that includes interpreters, special educators, art and music professionals, library media specialists, instructional assistants, guidance counselors, and health and physical education instructors. It organizes a variety of extracurricular activities, such as book fairs, pizza nights, Christmas parties, field trips and picture days. Located in Kansas City, Mo., Ravenwood Elementary School maintains a parent-teacher association that conducts monthly meetings and organizes various events and activities for the overall development of the school.
