Prefco Distribution is a service-oriented refrigerated and frozen products distribution company that serves independent grocery stores and restaurants throughout southwestern Texas. It distributes boxed beef, pork, poultry, cheese, seafood, and a variety of consumables. The company maintains a full-service cold storage facility with scanning, inventory control and product shipment capabilities. It has a fleet of refrigerated trucks and semi-trailers. Prefco Distribution has been a family-owned and operated company since 1941. The company is one of the operating divisions of Colorado Boxed Beef Company, which transports and distributes food products for clients throughout Florida, Georgia, Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas. With more than 40 employees, of Colorado Boxed Beef Company ships over 500,000 pounds of beef weekly.
