Founded in 1954, the Plymouth Christian Youth Center is a nonprofit human service organization that serves youths and families through its education, community programs and community development divisions. Its alternative school offers educational programs for youths in grades 9 through 12. The organization s after-school and summer enrichment program provides academic, social and recreational learning opportunities to more than 200 children in kindergarten through grade six. In addition, the center provides several volunteering opportunities. It is a member of the Greater Twin Cities United Way, Metropolitan Federation of Alternative Schools, Metropolitan Alliance of Connected Communities and Lutheran Services in America. The Plymouth Christian Youth Center is located in Minneapolis.
