Pickett Elementary School provides educational classes to more than 400 students in grades three through five. It has a parent-teacher association that is comprised of parent volunteers who provide assistance by organizing a variety of educational and enriching activities. It has a library media center that offers a collection of books and electronic card catalogs for research purposes, as well as assists students in writing reports. The school provides educational classes in various subjects, such as art, music, basic skills, math, science, social studies, reading, creative writing, and health and physical education. It is a part of the Georgetown Independent School District, which operates several elementary, middle and high schools.
