9th Street Elementary School, opened in 1890, is a part of the Los Angeles Unified School District. The school enrolls students in kindergarten through grade five. It provides special education and programs for gifted and talented students. 9th Street Elementary School s academic curriculum includes several subjects, such as math, science, language arts, English, social studies and physical education. The Los Angeles Unified School District operates more than 100 elementary, middle and high schools.
