Founded in 1911, National Legal Aid & Defender Association is one of the oldest and largest associations of individual legal professionals and legal organizations. Located in Washington, D.C., the association focuses on delivery of legal services to the poor. It serves as the collective voice for both civil legal services and public defense services throughout the nation.
