Mid-continent Research for Education and Learning, established in 1966, is a nonprofit organization. It serves as the regional education laboratory for the central region, including Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wyoming. The organization holds the federal contract for the North Central Comprehensive Center. Mid-continent Research for Education and Learning has a staff of more than 100 members who provide a comprehensive package of school improvement products and services to educators throughout the world. The organization conducts workshops and training for the professional development and school improvement needs of individuals. It specializes in organizing Designing Effective Science Lessons program and Balanced Leadership programs. Mid-continent Research for Education and Learning is located in Denver.
