Dr. Michael A. Scannon, MD is a Board Certified Dermatologist that has been in practice since January 1982 in Tampa and Dade City Florida. Dr. Scannon received his training from Emory University, Department of Dermatology and at the University of South Florida, College of Medicine in Internal Medicine. He is a member of the prestigious Noah Worchester Dermatological Society, American Academy of Dermatology, Hillsborough County Medical Association, Florida Society of Dermatology, American Society of Dermatologic Surgery and the Photomedicine Society to name just a few. He is also the Medical Director of the west coast chapter of the National Psoriasis Foundation and Affiliate Associate Professor for the University of South Florida, College of Medicine. Dr. Scannon offers a wide variety of treatment options for psoriasis patients including Light-box therapy, X-trac laser and biologic therapy. He also participates in various Research Studies for psoriasis. He offers Radiation therapy as a treatment option for patients with superficial skin cancers in his Tampa office. He also offers cosmetic skin care products such as Color Science, Obagi, and Skin Ceuticals with services such as waxing, microdermabrasion and laser hair removal. Snyder, PA-C is a board certified Physician Assistant and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and Business from Northern Illinois University in 1983. She worked in television for 10 years as the Community Affairs Director at WTSP-TV. She returned to school and obtained a Masters of Physician Assistant Studies from University of Florida in 1999. Upon graduation, Ms. Snyder practiced two years in family medicine before specializing in general medical dermatology with an emphasis in psoriasis, severe acne and hyperhidrosis and hidrandenitis supurativa.
