Metro Door USA is managed by Mr. Herman Alter who learned his craft from his family furniture making business. He was born in Uruguay in the year 1967 and moved with his parents to Argentina at the age of 6. He graduated from high school with a degree as a general contractor and moved to Israel to study computer science in 1986. In 1988, he founded a carpentry partnership enterprise in his early 20's where he oversaw more than 60 employees. In 1991 he moved to Paris and then back to Argentina where he began a retail murphy beds store. This expanded into a wholesale operation that was responsible for the creation of more than 4,000 cabinets, 8,000 closets, and 8,000 sliding doors. After moving with his family to Miami in 2002, he managed the operations for Metro Door USA which is a result of several different joint ventures in the carpentry and custom design business.
