Merritt Interpreting Services, LLC (MIS) is an agency which provides sign language interpreters for situations requiring communication accessibility. MIS is a unique female owned and managed enterprise serving the North Texas Area.

As a veteran freelance interpreter, Betty J. Merritt (1944 ? 2003) recognized the lack of quality, professional services needed by businesses, courts, attorneys, police departments, hospitals, the cultural arts, other organizations and individuals. Thus, MIS was established in 1989 in response to a desire to fulfill this need. Today MIS accommodates the ever increasing demand for quality services. MIS interpreters are accessible twenty-four (24) hours a day to over eighteen (18) counties in the North Central Texas Area. The main office is located in the turtle creek area, minutes away from downtown Dallas. In emergency situations, an interpreter can be dispatched immediately upon request.
