The history of Lowe s can be traced back to the late 1940 s when E.M. Bud Lowe started selling candies and sundries with only one truck distributing throughout the town of Littlefield, Texas. Established in 1964, with the first store opened in Olton, Texas, Lowe s is a chain of supermarkets that operates more than 80 stores throughout western Texas, New Mexico and Arizona. It offers a range of products that includes health and beauty products, a selection of authentic Hispanic food items and general merchandise. It also offers toys, giftware, serving trays, household items and pet supplies. Lowe s has bakery, produce, meat, deli, pharmacy and liquor departments. It operates several stores in Lubbock, Texas.
