Lex Brodie s received The Star-Bulletin & Midweek s 2004 Hawaii s Best Service Award for Auto Repair Shops. In 1958, Lex Brodie went from managing the Dole Pineapple Cannery to owning a Chevron gas station in Kaneohe, Hawaii. Brodie opened Lex Brodie's Tire Company on Queen Street in 1961 and a second location in Waipahu, Hawaii, in 1972. Lex Brodie s has expanded to a full-service auto shop. In addition to tires, the company provides wheels, state safety inspections, engine, transmission, radiator, air conditioning, brake and suspension service.
