Johnson Elementary School has a staff of more than 75 full-time certified teachers and paraprofessionals that includes math coaches, custodians, campus clerks, food service specialists, playground monitors, computer technicians, librarians, guidance counselors, special education instructors, and reading and literacy specialists. The school teaches students in kindergarten through fifth grade. It also provides medical, meal and bus transportation services to its students. The school s academic curriculum includes English, basic skills, language arts, math, science, art, music, social studies, reading, vocabulary, writing, and health and physical education. Johnson Elementary School is governed by the El Paso Independent School District, which has an enrollment of nearly 63,000 students in over 90 educational campuses.
