Hospice & Palliative Care of Southern Indiana provides end-of-life care and bereavement services to patients with life-limiting illnesses and their families. Founded in 1978, the center serves more than 800 patients. It controls symptoms of nausea, vomiting, and shortness of breath and restlessness. The center also offers personal care assistance with daily activities, such as bathing, housekeeping, and hair and skin care. In addition, it provides speech, physical and occupational therapies. Hospice & Palliative Care of Southern Indiana is licensed by the state of Indiana and is certified by Medicare and Medicaid. Located in New Albany, Ind., The center is approved by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.
