Founded in 1912, Hadassah, The Women s Zionist Organization of America is one of the largest women's, Jewish membership organization in the United States. It works to improve the quality of life for the people of Israel and to strengthen Jewish life in the United States. The organization supports medical care and research, education and youth institutions, and reforestation and parks projects. Hadassah, The Women s Zionist Organization of America promotes health education, social action and advocacy, volunteerism, Jewish education and research. It administers Hadassah Leadership Academy, which is an innovative outreach program. The organization through its Fleischman Women's Health Center in Israel, provides treatment, counseling and community outreach programs.
