Established in 1948, Julia Green Elementary School serves more than 500 students in kindergarten through grade four. It offers classes in reading, art, music, math and physical education. The school additionally provides special education classes for students with developmental disabilities. It maintains a parent-teacher organization that holds regular meetings and conferences. The school operates a library media center that stocks more than 10,000 books, as well as offers a variety of educational and learning materials. It also provides after-school care programs to assist students with their homework and outdoor activities. Julia Green Elementary School is a part of the Metro Nashville Public School District.
