Dr. Sayde completed a sports medicine fellowship at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, MD and MedStar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C. He completed a residency in orthopedic surgery at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA, and an Accelerated Combined Physician-Scientist B.S./M.D. Program at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY and Albany Medical College in Albany, NY.
He received several honors and awards during his academic career, including the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Medal for Outstanding Achievement in Math and Science, Albany Medical College Dean’s Commendations for Scholastic Excellence in the first and second year, and the Everett J. Gordon Award for outstanding clinical achievement from Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. He also received the Jerome M. Cotler and Phillip J. Marone Award for outstanding excellence in leadership from Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honors Society.
