Samuel Solish, M.D. is a Glaucoma Specialist & Cataract Surgeon at Eyecare Medical Group in Portland, Maine who specializes in the treatment of Glaucoma, Cataract Surgery and Lens Implants. Dr. Solish earned his Medical Degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston followed by a Residency in Ophthalmology at the New England Medical Center. He then completed a fellowship in medical and surgical treatment of Glaucoma at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and has received the Senior Honor Award and the Secretariat Award from the AAO. He is certified by and a Diplomat of the American Board of Ophthalmology and holds a lifetime certification. Dr. Solish has held numerous leadership positions in the American Medical Associate, Maine Medical Association and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He is former Chair of the Ophthalmology Section Council at the AMA. He teaches medical students and residents from Tufts University School of Medicine and Maine Medical Center. His interests include hiking, gardening and beekeeping.
