Mark Wehrum, DO, is a board-certified and Yale-educated perinatologist at AdventHealth Medical Group’s maternal-fetal care specialty practice in Winter Park. He has been in practice for more than 15 years and specializes in high-risk pregnancy care with an emphasis on safeguarding the health of mothers and their babies. A prolific researcher and award-winning medical educator, he earned his medical degree at the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and undertook his residency training as a military officer at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio prior to completing his advanced fellowship training in maternal-fetal medicine at Yale University in Connecticut. Awards & Recognition  During my years as a student and a trainee, I have enjoyed recognition for academic achievement and research interests.  However, the recognition that has provided me with the most personal fulfillment has been that derived by recognition by my peers.  As a U.S. Army Medical Corps officer for over 20 years, I served in numerous leadership positions which culminated in selection as the Chairman of the Department of OB/GYN at Womack Army Medical Center in 2012.
