Why did you choose to specialize in Gastroenterology?

Since endoscopy became widely available in the 1980’s providing evidence logged medical approach to GI disorders, I became interested in GI disease and caring for the patients

Do you have a specialty of interest within GI?

I am interested in biliary diseases.

Where did you study?

Undergraduate and Medical school in India, and Residency and Fellowship in Gastroenterology at Cabrini Medical Center, NY.

What certifications do you hold?

Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology

What do you and your family enjoy doing in your spare time?

I enjoy running half marathons, world travel, and my wife is an avid photographer.

Do you have any special honors or recognitions in your medical career that you would like to share?

Served as chief of staff on medical executive committees, Board member of the hospital, 2016 Best Doctors award for Best Bedside Manner.

Do you fluently speak any other languages in addition to English?

Indian Languages: Hindi, Kannada, and Telug
