Josue A. Medina is an interventional radiologist specializing in minimally invasive procedures. A former member of the U.S. Navy and life-long Texan, he began his educational career at Texas A&M in College Station, TX where he graduated summa cum laude and received his Bachelors of Science in Biochemistry. He then attained his Medical Doctorate from the Texas Tech Health Science Center School of Medicine in Lubbock, TX. After medical school he completed a Transitional internship at the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine in El Paso, TX. He then trained in Diagnostic/Interventional Radiology at the University of Tennessee Graduate School of Medicine in Knoxville, TN, followed by a Neuroradiology Fellowship at the University of Alabama in Birmingham, AL.Dr. Medina has been in private practice since 2014. He initially began his practice in El Paso, TX but recently relocated to San Antonio, TX to open a practice with Dr. Hogg. Dr. Medinas practice has been focused on the diagnosis, management, and treatment of patients with venous disease and has performed more than 9000 procedures over the last 3 years. Dr. Medina specializes in minimally invasive procedures which include radiofrequency ablation, endovenous laser ablation, micro-phlebectomy, and ultrasound guided sclerotherapy. He strives to stay current with the latest techniques and treatment options by attending yearly vein conferences, reviewing the latest case studies and is a member of the American College of Phlebology.Dr. Medina is board certified by the American Board of Radiology. He is also an active member of the American College of Phlebology and is also a diplomat of the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine.
