Dr. Steinhauser obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Exercise Science at Wake Forest University in Winston Salem, North Carolina. He went on to receive his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. While at Temple University he was a member of the Anatomical Honor Society. He then completed his three-year surgical residency training at Roxborough Memorial Hospital in Philadelphia.


Dr. Steinhauser is currently board qualified in Foot Surgery and in Reconstructive Rear Foot & Ankle Surgery with the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. His clinical training included Forefoot & Rearfoot Surgery, Reconstructive Foot & Ankle Surgery, Foot & Ankle Arthroscopy, Diagnostic Ultrasound, Laser Therapy & Surgery, Radiographic & MRI Evaluation, Wound Care, Infectious Disease Management, Diabetic and other Limb Salvage, as well as countless minor to major podiatric procedures.


As a team-player he works closely with other physicians to ensure that patients get the best care possible and are able to lead healthy, happy and productive lives. With his calm and understanding manner he tries to foster an open exchange of ideas between him and his patients. His detail oriented approach in the office and operating room, as well as his focus on aesthetic skin closure, leads to better outcomes and quicker recovery for patients. His Swiss background has also helped him achieve fluency in Swiss-German, High German and French.


His Personal Interests outside of podiatry include road and mountain biking, triathlons, wake boarding, snow skiing, metal & wood working, gardening, and gourmet cooking.
