Dr. Ashton is a licensed psychologist specializing in anxiety who provides evidence-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for adult populations. She will sometimes make an exception and see older teens for at least a consultation. Dr. Ashton received her doctorate of psychology from Spalding University in 2001 and completed her postdoctoral training in anxiety disorders at St. Louis Behavioral Medicine Institute, an affiliate of St. Louis University, where she remained on as a staff psychologist for 11 years.


Dr. Ashton offers anxiety treatment for the full spectrum of anxiety disorders to include: Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Panic Disorder with and without Agoraphobia, Social Anxiety Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, and Specific Phobias such as fear of flying, needle and medical phobias, and paruresis (bashful bladder). She utilizes exposure based therapy and exposure and response prevention (ERP) techniques.
