My job is about discoveryfinding the underlying cause of a patients problems and giving them the proper counsel and the proper tools to heal it at the cellular level. This is fascinating and joyful work to me!


Like all doctors, I often treat symptoms in the short term so that patients feel better soon, but it cant stop there. People get sick for a reason, and when you can figure out whythen you have a chance to really change the dynamic and help them heal. Some of the most common therapies I use in my practice are:


Diet and lifestyle counseling, which are mainstays of therapy for most patients. This often includes targeted nutrition with specific foods or supplements to nourish damaged cells and organs.
Amino acid (neurotransmitter) therapy for fatigue, depression, anxiety and neurological disorders.
Enzyme therapy to maximize digestion, reduce inflammation and assist with metabolism of certain medicines.
Herbal and homeopathic medicines, which are gentle and effective for many ailments.
Physiotherapies, including hydrotherapy, an ancient healing method useful for acute and chronic illnesses.


My doctoral (ND) degree is from National College of Natural Medicine, a fully accredited, four-year post-graduate medical program where I was trained to practice general medicine. My training also included extensive work in counseling, nutritional, botanical, homeopathic, and physical medicine, and I am licensed in Oregon as a primary care physician.


My husband and I have three children and one precious grandchild. In my free time I enjoy family gatherings, hiking mountains and shorelines, practicing gentle yoga, cooking, and creating delicious milk and wheat free recipes.
