Dominick's Finer Foods operates a chain of food stores and provides Italian food, meat, produce and customer service. The company offers more than 150 certified organic products, such as peanut butter, salad dressings, frozen vegetables and fruit, tortilla chips, crackers and juices. It is a part of Safeway, which is one of the largest food and drug retailers in North America and has more than 1,740 stores in the United States and Canada. In addition, it has a pharmacy department that provides immunization services for businesses, school campuses, senior centers and assisted living facilities. Operational for more than 75 years, Dominick's Finer Foods operates over 95 retail units and maintains a location in Palatine, Ill.
