Principal architect and designer, Anthony J. DiGuiseppe AIA RIBA, founded the firm DiGuiseppe Architect in 1985 in New York City. DiGuiseppe's unique and diverse background includes studies in Naval Architecture at the United States Naval Academy, Annapolis, and degrees in Architectural Engineering from Pratt Institute and Architecture and Planning from City College, New York. Mr. DiGuiseppe is a long time member of the American Institute of Architects, a Chartered Member of the Royal Institute of British Architects and a Commissioner of Marbletowns' Historic Preservation Commission. The firms' first clients included projects that ranged from preservation of historic row townhouses in Greenwich Village to the design of high fashion showrooms on Seventh Avenue such as Christie Brinkley Swimwear. The firms' work presently is comprised of Hospitality and Residential projects, as well as residential developments in an historic context. The firm has had its design work published internationally in magazines such as Interior Design, Women's Wear Daily, and Contract. DiGuiseppe has won numerous furniture design awards including - Visions 2000 and the Roscoe Awards ; and has had his work exhibited in design competitions such as the redesign of the Piazzale Roma for the Venice Biennale. DiGuiseppe has also collaborated with other design firms such as Emilio Ambasz, Perkins Eastman, The Spectorgroup, Edward Mills, The Eggers Group, Alan Lapidus, and Adache Associates on large-scale projects. In-depth understanding and a collaborative working partnership with clients has become one of the key elements to the success of the firm's tenure.
