J. Melvin Deese, M.D., is the founder of Summit Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Surgery. Board-certified in orthopedic surgery, Dr. Deese received his medical degree from the Autonomous University of Juarez in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. He has worked with and trained some of the most noteworthy sports medicine specialists in the world, and his practice encompasses treatment and reconstruction of the knee, foot and ankle. Dr. Deese specializes in joint replacement, including hip and knee replacement, and is currently the Medical Director for the Orthopedic & Spine Center at Southeast Georgia Health System.
