Dr. Pernoud is a St. Louis native. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Valparaiso University, where he majored in Biology and Chemistry and minored in Theology. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Dentistry, where he received numerous prestigious awards and honors, including acceptance to Advanced Studies in Oral Surgery, membership in Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society, and highest academic achievement in Xi Psi Phi Dental Fraternity.Dr. Pernoud also completed a General Practice Residency program at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston, Texas. During that time, Dr. Pernoud gained additional knowledge and further developed his surgical skills by studying and performing advanced dental and medical procedures, including methods of sedation, at both the VA Medical Center and the MD Anderson Cancer Center.Dr. Pernoud is a member of the American Dental Association, the Missouri Dental Association, and the Greater St. Louis Dental Society.
