Founded in 1958, Northwest Middle School is a multicultural diverse school where more than 30 different languages are spoken representing over 30 countries worldwide. The school is supported by the school community council and parent teacher student association. Northwest Middle School offers a wide range of English and language arts, mathematics, sciences, social science and economics. It also offers classes in technology and family and consumer science programs. Northwest Middle School s library provides resources, such as books, journals and magazines and Internet access. It has an athletics department that offers various sports activities, such as tennis, football, soccer, basketball, golf and baseball. Northwest Middle School is a part of the Salt Lake City School District.
