Founded in 1990, Common Ground is dedicated to the development of supportive housing and other research-based practices for the eradication of homelessness in the community. The organization has a network of affordable apartments to serve more than 3,500 homeless individuals. Common Ground builds and operates a range of housing options for homeless and low-income individuals and families. It also provides outreach programs for homeless individuals who are sheltered in emergency shelters, hospitals and jails. It administers the From Street to Home program, which assists homeless individuals living on streets to move into housing communities.
