The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Children's Medical Center Dallas is designated as a level IV - the highest level of care available. This means that babies have immediate access to pediatric surgeons, anesthesiologist and sub-specialists trained for complex conditions that occur in the womb as well as during or after the birth of the baby.
