Bridge for Runaway Youth, located in Minneapolis, provides a wide range of programs and services for the youth. It offers immediate shelter and safety for youth in crisis, with experienced counselors to help them find solutions to the difficulties they face. The organization works with both parents and youth, helping them resolve family conflicts and rediscover their common ground. It helps young people reconnect with family, school and community, strengthening families and helping prevent youth homelessness. Bridge for Runaway Youth s operates a 24-hour helpline and walk-in counseling sessions, a more than 14-bed emergency shelter for youth between ages 10 and 17, family-centered counseling, and street outreach to runaway and homeless youth.
