I implement various forms of therapy in order to provide the best experience for the individuals. I have become creative with my counseling practice to where I have been known for bringing in Aromatherapy and having individuals create a scent that is specifically for them and to put them at ease during their counseling session. I like to unitize various modalities in my counseling practice which includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person/Client Centered, Self-Concept, Existentialism, Solution Focused, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, and Feminism. In working with an adolescent group, I developed a creative form of therapy which implements art, music, metaphor, crafts, and literature to provide a safe and comfortable group environment. I have been working with adolescents for over 8 years and I find they are facing more problems than when I was their age. I enjoy assisting them in learning coping skills and discovering solutions to their problems. Bullying and Cyberbullying are a huge problem facing many adolescents and I can see how the bullying can lead to self-esteem issues, lack of confidence and other issues.

People face challenges throughout their lives. Sometimes the challenges can become overwhelming making it difficult to see the positive. I believe it is important for people to find a counselor that they are comfortable working with in dealing with their problems.
