James Bowie High School, established in 1988, is a comprehensive, public high school serving students from grades nine through 12. The school offers various educational courses that include advanced placement, honors, agriculture and culinary arts program. Located in Austin, Texas, it is one of the largest schools in the Austin Independent School District, and it has more than 100 classrooms, networked computer labs and computers in all classrooms and offices. In addition, it also provides a library with more than 28,000 print and nonprint items. The school offers various sport and athletic activities, such as basketball, swimming, football and softball, and its physical education program offers a wide range of physical skills and fitness courses, including foundations of physical fitness, aerobics, and team and individual sports.
