Founded in 1997, the institute provides several dialysis-related services to physicians, outpatient clinics and hospitals. It offers inpatient acute nephrology, facility planning and construction and outpatient dialysis consulting services. The Renal Research Institute provides specialized dialysis treatment that includes the use of non-noxious chemicals to reuse dialyzers and rehabilitation and exercise programs. Its team of social workers helps patients cope with emotional, insurance and transportation concerns. The institute offers consulting and administrative services to various dialysis companies in New York, California, Connecticut, Illinois, Michigan and North Carolina. The Renal Research Institute additionally works in partnership with the University of Michigan Health System, Albany College of Pharmacy and Continuum Health Partners.
