My name is Matthew Behr and I want to be YOUR Massage Therapist! I completed my massage training on the beaches of Costa Rica at The Costa Rica School of Massage Therapy (CRSMT). The skills I gained and have continued to develop have been practiced in Costa Rica, Alabama, Minnesota, and Denver, Colorado where I have lived for the past 2 years. At CRSMT, only the absolute best instructors from all over the world flew in to instruct my class of 20 on a specialized modality of bodywork for a semester at a time. I've been trained in a Swedish style of Massage, incorporating Myofascial Release, Trigger Point/Neuromuscular Therapy, Deep-Tissue Massage, Thai Massage, Craniosacral Therapy, and Shiatsu into the session depending on what you need at that time. The philosophy of my practice is grounded in Esalen Massage, valuing Growth, Service, Responsibility, Integrity, Stewardship, Presence, Community, and Gratitude above all. Over the years and through this journey, I've been taught by various teachers to seek mindfulness in action and practice, and I will always strive to stay present with you during our session together at Behr Bodywork.
