Acumentra Health, located in Portland, Ore., was formerly known as OMPRO. Founded in 1984, it is a nonprofit organization that focuses on enhancing the quality and effectiveness of health care. The organization partners with various practitioners and providers, Medicare beneficiaries, public agencies, and private organizations on a wide range of health care improvement projects and programs. Acumentra Health serves various groups of people, including infants and children in well-child and immunization programs, and adolescents in residential psychiatric treatment facilities. It also serves senior citizens and people with disabilities, and offers treatment for heart failure, acute myocardial infarction, stroke, diabetes, pneumonia and various chronic conditions.
