Against a majestic backdrop of Rocky Mountain foothills in northern Colorado, Acme Machine, Inc, founded by Robert V. Hoyt and originally named Acme Auto Sales, has operated in Fort Collins, Colorado for over 50 years. Repairing cars, rebuilding wrecks and selling auto parts in 1950 is where the Acme story begins. Ten years later, answering the 1960's call of an emerging motorcycle market, the Acme sales and service portfolio expanded to include a Norton, BSA, Triumph and Indian dealership. Finally, in 1976 Acme began its conversion into a full fledged machine shop providing service to the aircraft, automotive, motorcycle and agricultural industries. Over the years Acme Machine, Inc has been proud to count such companies as Woodward Governor, Agilent Technologies, the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Thunder Mountain Harley Davidson and Colorado State University among its many clients. Continuing a family tradition Robert Hoyt's son, John Hoyt, stands at the Acme helm today. Providing two generations of contract jobshop experience to the discerning client, Acme's primary manufacturing focus is now on short run, precision machined metal & plastic parts as well as new product and prototype research & development.
